3-D homework alert!!
Today your child came home with a tree map looking similar to this...minus the pictures. Take the weekend to help them find things in your house or outside that are these shapes. They will need to draw a few things under each heading. Have them tell you why it fits (ex. a cube has all squares, cylinders have two circles that are the same size, etc.). We will share on Monday!

Character and Setting
After reading Armadillo Rodeo by Jan Brett, we created a tree map of the characters and setting. This is a very simple discussion you can have with your little one after reading a book together!

Turkey Feathers
WOW! There are so many things K1 is thankful for. Thank you for helping your child decorate and brainstorm things they value and appreciate. I had each child share their feather with the class...they did a great job explaining and comparing theirs with their friends.
