Winners

We are all WINNERS in K1 but during our math stations I look for extra special "winners"! Winners are on-task, working hard, checking their work, being kind to their friends, etc. At the end of stations I announce the "winners" (they are so excited you would think I was passing out an Academy Award) and they get a smellie! Ask your kiddo if they were chosen as a winner and if not, what can they do next time to earn a spot on this list? :)

President's Day 2011

Hope you are having a great President's Day! Today we have been reading and learning about presidents past and present. We created these Abraham Lincoln's last week but worked on our George Washington's this morning. Enjoy!

Get your smile on!

We had a very fun and informative visit from the Smileguard today! We leaned to brush 2 a day, floss once, and to have an adult help us brush! We also discussed healthy eating choices.

Open WIDE

February is Dental Health Month! We have had many discussions about brushing and flossing this week. Tomorrow we are going to examine our teeth with a mirror AND have a visit from a Dentist who practices just right down the road !

This is a circle map we made of everything we know about teeth. The conversation about how old people lose there teeth was quite amusing. They were ratting their grandparents out, left and right! Ha!
