A huge thank you to our WONDERFUL PTO for organizing this great (and educational) rainforest animal experience. It even tied in perfectly with our study of nocturnal animals! Ask you child what's our word of the week.

Fall & Apples

Signs of fall are all around! We made a fall circle map in our Science Journals.

 

 

Last week we learned about all things APPLES! I think our most favorite part of learning about apples was our taste test and secret voting of our favorite apple! Check out these scientist in action!

 



Police officer, firemen, clowns...oh my!

We've had a busy week with some very special visitors. Yesterday an officer came to talk to us about learning our phone number, address, stranger danger, and what to do if there's an emergency. Most importantly, we talked about all those nifty gadgets he has on his belt :)
Today we had the firefighter clowns (always entertaining) come talk to us about having a secret password with your family, wearing a helmet and knee pads when riding your bike, and tools vs. toys (matches-tool, not a toy). Then they discussed where to meet if their was a fire at your house and having 2 ways out of your room. It was a lot of very important info, make sure you have these serious talks with your kiddo.
