Chicks and Salsa

During our study of oviparous animals we read one of my FAVORITE stories Chicks and Salsa! It's a very funny tale of farm animals getting tired of eating their "farm food" so they start making salsa, guacolmole, and nachos! Then we they decided to have a fiesta they discover the Farmer and his wife use the last of the crops to make tamles. Ask your child how the story ends (it's their favorite part)! We made these cute chicks and on Friday I got them a "special snack"....chips, salsa (mild of course) and gucamole! yummm yumm!

Ladybug Mania

We are finishing up our study of Ladybird Beatles and other insects. Last year at this time, we couldn't walk outside without finding a million ladybugs! This year, we've only found ONE! But we love her so...she even has a name...Laura the Ladybug.

Just one of those days...

It was too pretty out...we didn't want to get our art work dirty (that was drying at our tables)...they've been cooped up all week...we just had to eat snack outside. and practice cartwheels. and look for ladybugs...of course. Love these moments.
