This week...

We have already learned about "sh" and "th" and they keep asking "When are we going to learn CH?" I LOVE how they are so ready to LEARN! It's their lucky week!

 Practice makes perfect. We practiced a LOT this week!

More fun Fairy Tale origami in the library! This one was slightly more complicated than the wolf but they stuck with it :)

Comparing and Contrasting Rocks

Earlier this week we did a shared writing comparing and contrasting two of our K1 friends rocks. 

Today they got a chance to partner up and do the same thing with a buddy! 

After they used their best geologist brain, they shared their findings with the class! I was so impressed at their observations and attention to detail. 

Riddle me this...

Each day I write a "Fairy Tale" riddle for them to copy and figure out! These are their Riddle Book covers....aren't they beautiful?? 9 days and counting till the Ball...

This Rocks

This morning we compared and contrasted rocks! First, I did a "shared writing" where I had them help me think of ways two rocks were alike and different. Then, they were on their own to choose any two rocks to write about in their Science journals. I was amazed (once again) at their ability to see and think about things my adult mind would never notice!
