First Bus Ride

Riding on the big yellow limousine (as my dad would say) is no doubt one of their favorite parts of our trip!

Here we go! Did you notice anything in this picture that is different from when you rode in a bus growing up (aside from the seat belts)? That's right. AIR CONDITIONING. They will never know the hot school bus struggle.

And here's our ride home...always the sign of a great field trip :)

Friday Nature Walk

The weather FINALLY cooperated for our very first Friday Nature Walk! K1 has been BEGGING me to take one since I first mentioned it a few weeks back. It was the perfect day to observe the garden, look for signs of fall, and enjoy some fresh air. When we returned, they drew their favorite thing in their science journal. Needless to say, our first walk was a HUGE success! 

This is the only picture I was able to take. I wish I had more to adequately convey their JOY for finding and showing me all the things in nature.
