February Catch-Up

February ended up being our busiest month to date! Here's a few pictures from our month of madness..I mean..fun!

Osmo is an interactive iPad game. This particular game is their "Words" edition where they are working on finding the missing letters in words. This was on loan from another Kinder teacher because she had a child purchase one for their home and they gifted one to her! K1 highly enjoyed this "game".

Lakeside Live line-up. I can't believe this is the ONLY picutre I captured of their very big week on announcements!

February Mystery reader fun!

Childerns Advocacy Center came and gave a very informative performance.

We had fun making 2D shapes!

K1 is incredibly great this year at "read to buddy" during Daily 5. I love seeing them interact and share their books, words and strategies with each other.

 Some more Daily 5 collaborations:
Word Work-"sh" sort                                                   Listen to Reading

For "Read Across America Day" we were treated to a story from Miss Meg. If you haven't heard, Miss, Meg, is a student from the high school who comes to help in the classroom. She is so wonderful with the learners and they sure love her!

Another fun Mystery Reader!

To end the month we had a chance to watch 5th grades performance of "The Day the Crayons Quit". They composed all their own music to go along with the story. I was so proud of my former learners, it also hit me mid-performance that I only have 11 more weeks to see them before they head off to middle school.
