Happy summer!

This is the point in summer where I'm having serious withdrawals from my sweet kiddos. I miss their stories, giggles, funny comments, hugs, etc. That list can go on and on and on... :) give your kiddo a super big hug from me and tell them I can't WAIT to see them in August!

Quilts

Throughout the year we have made a "quilt square" during our working station time. I saved them all up so we could create a "K1 Quilt"! Today we put them together and then signed all our friends quilts. They turned out super cute :)

Mr. Munsch

Some of you might already know about our latest author, Rober Munsch. He is widely popular for his famously loving book Love You Forever. But did you know he is one of the FUNNIEST storytellers ALIVE???? Seriously, this man is a hysterical riot. He creates stories (about kids he knows or meets while visiting schools) on the spot then writes them down to share with us. Today we read Stephanie's Ponytail and the kids laughed so hard they asked if we could read more of his stories!!

I couldn't turn them down so then we read another one of my favs, Thomas' Snowsuit!

Here's the link to his website http://robertmunsch.com/

Somebody's watching YOU!

I hope all you mom's enjoyed your super special day! You definitely deserve to be treated like a queen! Isn't it amazing how much your child knows about you? After writing these books I jotted down some of their lines from my favorite page...what my mom likes to do when she's all alone (refer to page 3): laundry, vacuum, water the tree, watch the news (that one was quite popular this year), lay in the sun, workout, read, and go to the spa! Hahaha! I assured your child you probably do NOT like to do household chores. :)

Thank you once again for such a special teacher appreciation week! Loved the special notes, flowers, lunches, Starbucks (that is the direct line to a teachers heart) and the presents. I can't even think about how hard it is going to be to pass your child off to another teacher next year. Makes me already start tearing up :(
