Today during our spirit assembly we watched some very brave and thoughtful girls get a hair cut to donate their ponytail to The Pink Hearts Fund. So proud of them! 

Mrs. Keith was honored with her "Teacher of the Year" award!!

Earth Day Promises

The Circle of Life

Well as swiftly as new plant life is beginning another one is ending. I was saddened to hear that our beloved "shade" tree did not weather this weekends storms. RIP sweet little tree, you sure were helpful to a LOT of my Kindergartner during the extra hot summer.

In happier news, our class plants are sprouting like crazy!

Boutiques's of B-Hall

Thank you all so much for working with your Kindergartner this week on ways to earn money. They had the best time spending their hard earned cash. They also highly enjoyed seeing their brothers, sisters, neighbors and friends. When we got back to the classroom I told them they could start thinking about what they would like to make when they are in the 2nd grade!

A Sign of Life

On Tuesday I heard screaming and yelling followed by a stampede over to the window. What was all the commotion about you ask...well, we just had our very first seed SPROUT! They were so excited to see a little green stem and leaf...you would have thought it was GOLD! 

I've been moving them outside for a little more sun but still visible from our classroom window.
