Freezing and sleeping

Today we really went all out in k1! Started our day in the cafeteria freezer (we are starting to learn about penguins and polar bears). Then traveled to the Arctic and Antarctica! FINALLY got to play on the field at recess (it's been almost 2 weeks)! Watched our "fun Friday" Magic School Bus about animals in the arctic. Then wrapped up our study of hibernation with making bear dens. I am tired but I really love these kinder moments!!

Our author study of Jan Brett is in full swing! Today we read The Hat and then made these little hedgies with hats! Did you know Jan Brett owns a hedgehog and she tries to put one in every one of her books?

Biomes

Sorry for lack of posts in December! I'm trying to catch up this week! Here's an awesome day we had where we got to see 5th Grades projects on Biomes. It was so fun (and educational) to hear them explain the climate, animals, landforms, etc. then share more info on the iPads.

 

 Here was the REAL highlight of our trip...going upstairs! Where we can see down into the LIBRARY! A-maz-ing!

PJ's

We had way too much fun today in our PJ's!! We are still receiving some last minute donations and I can't WAIT to share the total number of donations. It warms my heart knowing we have one of the generous and caring school and families.
