Catching up...

Sorry for the blog absenses...every second of my day has been filled to the brim! Here's a few things to catch you up on K1 happenings this week!

This week we started our Math Stations Rotations! One group was working on the geo-boards, another was using the pattern blocks to create pictures and the other was creating patterns with objects.

We have been building up our reading stamina! You should be so proud of your Kindergartner...we have built up to reading for a whole 7 minutes!!! This is quite a big Kinder accomplishment!

Last but not least...I finally was blessed with a new computer that doesn't crash every 5 minutes :) let the good times roll.

Who is a scientist?

YES we are! Today we discussed all the things a scientist can do...then we drew a picture of ourselves as a scientist in our new Science Journals!

Welcome to K1

I'm so excited it's time to start a new year with some new and familiar families! I can't wait to see how much your child will grow and develop educationally and socially this year. See you all bright and early tomorrow morning!

This is the point in summer where I'm having serious withdrawals from my sweet kiddos. I miss their stories, giggles, funny comments, hugs, etc. That list can go on and on and on... :) give your kiddo a super big hug from me and tell them I can't WAIT to see them in August!

Prepare to be AMAZED...

It's the ever growing Kindergarteners!!!! I took their first picture (on the left) the first week of school. Can you believe how much they've grown and how mature they look???

Quilts

Throughout the year we have made a "quilt square" during our working station time. I saved them all up so we could create a "K1 Quilt"! Today we put them together and then signed all our friends quilts. They turned out super cute :)
