Milestone Day

There are just too many pictures from today to put in ONE post so please keep reading for the 2 I've already posted about the 100 day of Kindergarten! I'll post another one about our 100's collection but it's not quite ready yet.

Every morning during calendar we write how many days we've been in school. They were so excited to finally write 100!

We also keep track of the days using ones, tens and finally today...hundred!

This is one of my absolute favorite 100's day activity. We read Wolf's Chicken Stew which is about a wolf trying to fatten up a chicken by bringing her 100 pancakes, 100 doughnuts, etc. At the end, he is surprised to find 100 chicks have been enjoying his treats and he loves them so much he decides not to eat them! So...when K1 returned from specials they discovered there were 100 chicks loose in our classroom!

100's Day CHALLENGE!

The first challenge of the day was to see how many times they could clap their hands in 100 seconds...

Hop

Blink

We also counted how many times the could say the alphabet!

After lunch, we made our way to the library for the 100 cup challenge! I was amazed at what these little engineers created!
